Treargel Quiet Day Programme – January to June 2020

‘Come and join us if you are looking for time out to reflect on your life and to breathe deeply, rest quietly and think clearly.

Wednesday 11th March – Treargel, the home of retreat

Refuge, safety, rest – what does retreating look like for you and how can you build it into your life?

Thursday 23rd April – Wild God

‘Safe?’ said Mr Beaver… ‘Who said anything about safe? ‘course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. Led by Sara and Barney Barron

Saturday 2nd May – Cherishing Creation

Here is an opportunity to rest, relax and reflect together, time to be still and consider what God may reveal to us through his creation. Led by Andrew Hill.

Thursday 4th June – Finding stability in times of change

At a time when change is often feared, stability can be elusive, and busyness interferes with listening to God, this quiet day offers and opportunity for space and reflection. Leg by Jane and Richard Frost.

All days will run from 10-4pm, light lunch and refreshments are included. There is no set fee but a suggested donations of £20 to cover costs, though ‘in kind’ offers will be considered and we do have access to a bursary, so don’t be shy if finances are an issue. Guests staying overnight are welcome to join in, with discounts available if we can use their living room for the day (especially if raining).

Though we at Treargel have a Christian faith, these days are open to anyone on a reflective journey. This is not a teaching day, but we will provide promptings for your own private contemplation. These themes are just suggestions, if you prefer to follow your own programme feel free, we won’t be checking your homework! There will be a time of listening at the end for those that wish to share with others.

We will meet in our large lounge and dining room. Then spread out around the various lounges, library, gardens, labyrinth, Hermitage and coastal path. Some of these areas may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.

Book via the events page on our website, facebook page, email info@treargel.com or phone 01503 262993/07931356656.
