The Twelve Tools for Christmas campaign from Hidden Help will assist people all over Cornwall who, for whatever reason, have to set up home again having lost everything.

Hidden Help and Cornwall Neighbourhoods for Change are working together on the project and collecting quality, second-hand tools. The tools are cleaned and packaged in a tool roll or a toolbox made from recycled wood by Stithians Scouts. They are then given to people in need through the two organisations.

In addition to the Christmas ‘Twelve Tools’ campaign, Hidden Help also locates other unwanted household goods and gets them to people who are in need.

The charity is one of the causes featured in and supported by the Cornwall Christmas Giving Catalogue (download here) .

Hidden Help is staffed by volunteers and funded mainly by donations. It was also featured in last year’s catalogue.

Judy, from Hidden Help, said: “With Hidden Help, most of ur expenditure is cost associated with costs of transportation, collecting household goods from those who have them and delivering the goods to those who need them.

“The gifts received from the catalogue last year proved to be a great help in offsetting the transportation costs, and we are delighted to be included for another year.”
