A morning retreat with a difference, an opportunity to focus on journeying UP with God, will take place tomorrow (Saturday, June 27).ian adamsUP logo

The event, which is being held at St Petroc’s Church, Bodmin, between 10am and 1pm, will be led by Ian Adams, a speaker, author, poet, photographer, artist and Anglican priest, under the title of Unfurling: shaping a peaceful way of life.

It will provide an opportunity to explore how we might discover, nurture and then live out from our deep God-given inner peace – and to create practices to shape and deepen our journey of discipleship with Jesus the Christ.

“We all dream of a better world! More peaceful, more harmonious, more caring and more celebratory. That peaceful world must begin to take shape in us.”

Whether you are a regular retreat-maker or have never done anything like this before, this brief retreat should prove to be quietly energising for you.

Drawing on scripture, photography, contemporary jazz and the ancient monastic tradition there will be a spacious mix of reflections from Ian, an opportunity to create a practice of stillness that suits your way of life where you are, and a chance to look closely into the gift of each moment.

There is no need to book in advance although it would be helpful. Please contact Pauline Burdett on: pauline.burdett@truro.anglican.org
You are more than welcome to bring a packed lunch and stay and talk at the end.
