Bishop Tim writes...I am fully supportive of the ordination of women because I believe we are all made in the image of God. Women and men are called by God. I believe that the Church of England can make decisions in its own right and whilst that does create difficulties ecumenically, I believe the Church of England has always had a calling to stand and try and speak out for the wider church. I also firmly believe that the Church of England is a broad church and should continue as such, and we should do all we can to include as many people as possible. If Christians, of all people, cannot display an ability to fall out with each other and still recognise one another as fellow Christians then it is bad news.

We are delighted to announce that David Watson has been appointed the new Diocesan Communications Officer, and will join the team working at Diocesan House from 4th January. A vet by profession, David spent almost 10 years "doing the James Herriot stuff" in Suffolk before taking up several posts in industry, during which time he became increasingly involved with communications and the Media.
