SIAS Toolkit
A toolkit to support staff and governors as they become self-evaluating schools.
Every Church of England School has a Statutory Inspection for Anglican School otherwise known as the Section 48 Inspection. This is in addition to the Section 5 Ofsted Inspection.
This inspection is undertaken by a Section 48 qualified inspector and takes place after the Section 5 Inspection.
Towards this objective, the school will seek answers to four key questions.
- How well does the school, through its distinctive Christian character, meet the needs of all learners?
- What is the impact of collective worship on the school community?
- How effective is the religious education?
- How effective are the leadership and management of the school as a church school?
The Toolkit is, as the name suggests, a tool to support staff and governors as they become self-evaluating schools. All SIAS inspections are available on the National Society Website.
