Communications
Communications is a vital part of the work of the diocese, affecting the public perception of the parishes, the Bishops, the Diocesan staff and those involved in the Christian community.
The Communications Officer is David Watson who was appointed in December 2009.
The work of the Communications Officer is seen, heard and read by many thousands of people every year, not only in the west country, but also very frequently in the national media. The aim is always to offer a high quality service of advice, promotion and encouragement to parishes, Bishops, diocesan officers and departments, at the same time as encouraging a healthy interest in, and respect for, the Church in the media.
The Diocese produces a number of printed and electronic communications on a regular basis:
• The Prayer Diary • The Coracle • The Bulletin • The Diocesan Directory • The Cornish Cleric • Synod Report
In addition a monthly mailing is circulated to all clergy
