Bishops

The Communications Officer responds regularly to press and media enquiries relating to the Bishop of Truro, and the Bishop of St Germans, and issues media releases concerning them.

National and regional media are monitored daily to provide updates and advice to the Bishops regarding national or local issues. If the Diocesan Bishop is a member of the House of Lords, his involvement in that House is followed and reported.

Forthcoming debates at General Synod are also carefully monitored, and the Bishops' views established on potentially sensitive issues.

Advice is given in respect of parochial or individual situations of potential media sensitivity.
