Working in the Community
We are all called by God to exercise a Christian ministry in our daily lives. That ministry may be spectacular and publicly recognised, or it may be quietly known only to a few people in the communities in which we live.
Government has recently recognised the immense contribution which the Churches make to the fabric of community life and in many parts of the Diocese, the Church is a principal provider of community facilities.
The Revd Andrew Yates is the Social Responsibility Officer, and he and the Revd Jill Edwards provide practical help and advice, regular papers, training opportunities and briefings on a vast range of social issues, currently including:
- Community Projects
- Community Cohesion & Interfaith Issues
