Homelessness and Affordable Housing
Homelessness is sadly all too often experienced by people in Cornwall – rough sleepers, sofa surfers and women and men fleeing from domestic violence.

Affordable Housing
Much has been done to increase the number of Affordable Homes that are available in Cornwall but there is still a large shortage. Several imaginative projects can be seen across the County. The Diocese made Glebe land in Tregony available to Devon and Cornwall Housing Association; a grant from the Church's Addington Fund helped convert barns at Probus into low rent properties for rural workers; and a self build scheme on land that was put into a Community Land Trust helped 12 young people at Rock stay in their local community.
If you have an idea, or property or land that could be used in this field contact the Diocesan Social Responsibility Officer 01872 274351 or click here to send an email. Please make sure you select Social Responsibility from the drop down list.
Some more information on affordable housing can be found on the Housing Justice website. Please click here for a link to this website to find out more.
