Information for PCCs
PCCs with an income greater than £100,000 in 2008 and subsequent years will now need to register with the Charity Commission. If a parish has income over £100,000 for an exceptional reason such as the receipt of a large legacy or from a major appeal action is still needed.
In these circumstances the PCC should apply to the Charity Commission for a written determination not to have to register.
The Church of England nationally has been working with the Charity Commission to make the registration process as straightforward as possible. Detailed guidance notes have been prepared and are available from Julie Millar, the Parish Resources Officer.
For more information about registration for parishes in the Diocese of Truro please click here to send an email to Julie Millar. Please make sure that you select Parish Resources from the drop down menu of the email contact form.
Updates on registration and related issues can be found on the Parish Resources website www.parishresources.org.uk
Please call Julie Millar on 01872 274351 for further information.
