DAC Guidance Documents
Parishes are invited to give the guidelines for the bereaved to families with loved ones buried or about to be buried in the churchyard. The more detailed guidance may be passed on to the funeral directors and the monumental masons they use so that they are kept aware of the regulations. Being aware of the regulations helps prevent any misunderstandings that can cause great hurt to the bereaved and to the clergy dealing with the pastoral consequences.
