Who are we?

The Parsonage Department of the Diocese of Truro includes:

Donna Hazell - your first point of phone contact; Donna can issue orders for work required or answer general queries with regard to your home.

Matthew Williams BSc Hons MaPS MRICS - Diocesan Surveyor: Matthew is an RICS qualified building surveyor  who undertakes quinquennial (5 yearly) inspections, specifies building works and makes decisions regarding  day to day budgeting and expenditure on the property estate. His role is to implement the policy agreed by the Parsonages Committee.

The Parsonages Committee - The Parsonages Committee meets quarterly and makes decisions with respect to parsonage policy. The committee determines how the budget should be spent and is asked to approve any exceptions to their general policy. The committee also considers all land sales or purchases and approves requests for alterations to houses. The chairman of the Parsonages Committee is Dr Mike Todd.

The aims of the Parsonages Department
The Parsonages Department implement a property strategy developed in 2006 with the following principal aims to:

  • improve the quality of the housing, to support ministry & provide family homes
  • control operating costs of houses
  • maximise the value of the estate for the future
  • increase the value of estate management
  • avoid risk and manage responsibly
