Selling Houses

When a house becomes vacant, its position in relation to the deanery plans for reorganisation will be considered. It will normally be let on a shorthold tenancy for a period of six months during the vacancy. It may, however, be sold or replaced during the vacancy, or left vacant in case it may be needed for re-occupation by another priest within a six month period.

Letting Houses

During a vacancy, a parsonage house, team vicar's or curate's house is normally let on a shorthold tenancy for a period of six months, which may be extended. Agents are appointed by the Board of Finance, and are responsible for all matters relating to obtaining tenants, preparing the lease, collecting rents and serving notices to quit.
