Land & buildings

There are three different departments at Diocesan House that deal with land and buildings.

A parsonage house in Mid Cornwall

The Parsonage Department

The Parsonage Department deals with the sale and purchase of houses as part of an ongoing programme of improving the property stock and providing homes suitable to support the ministry of the clergy. The Department manages a variety of housing, including parsonages and other DBF property. Quinquennial (5 yearly) inspections and improvement works to properties are undertaken on a rolling programme.

The Glebe Committee

The Glebe Committee is responsible for the management of land and related transactions. The appointed Managing Agent deals with sales and purchases, collection of rents, rent reviews, property inspection and advice on development potential.

Diocese of Truro Enterprises Ltd

Diocese of Truro Enterprises Ltd (known as DOTE) is the trading arm of the Diocese; it  is  the wholly-owned subsidiary of The Truro Diocesan Board of Finance Limited.  It provides architectural and surveying services, including a significant part of the building works for the Voluntary Aided church schools.
