Certain expenses rates and allowances will increase from 1st September 2010. Accommodation and subsistence rates will increase by approximately 2.4% and the pubic transport mileage rate will increase from 25 pence to 30 pence per mile. The local mileage rate will remain unchanged at 40 pence per mile (for the first 10,000 miles in a year) and 25 pence per mile thereafter.
