Youth Officer

The Diocese strongly supports all work with children and young people and in recognition of the importance this work it employs a full-time Youth Officer, Sarah Welply, who works under the direction of the Diocesan Board of Education.

There is a strong youth network established across the Diocese and there are many new opportunities arising for partnerships to develop across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. The Diocese sees itself as a key leader in Youth Work.

The Youth Officer's role is to support youth workers, parishes and deaneries in developing this exciting work through Christian leadership, and by providing training and fellowship.

The Diocese also has a Youth Synod and the Youth Officer supports young people in their in their journey of faith, developing their worship, hearing their voices and encouraging others to do the same.
