Children & Youth

The Diocesan Children, Young People and Schools team is based at Diocesan House and serves all who work with children and young people in parishes and schools. As a team of professionals we offer support and advice. We work collaboratively to uphold God’s mission within the Diocese.

The role of the Children and Youth Team is to enthuse Parishes and Deaneries and work with them as they develop their provision in this exciting aspect of mission. This may be through working directly with children and young people in church or through schools.

The team organises regular training for children and youth workers and helps to monitor the impact of this training. They also organise Diocesan events for children and young people and advise parishes on ‘Children and Communion'.

There is an emphasis on affirming the positive contribution children and young people make to communities through regular newsletters and updates.
There are a vast number of resources to support work with children and young people held at Diocesan House which can be borrowed by parishes, Deaneries and individuals.
