 Strategic Programme Manager – Transforming Mission

Salary: £40,000

Hours: 35 hours per week

Location: Threemilestone, Truro with local base in Falmouth

Contract: Permanent

Transforming Mission is a model for the renewal of Anglican Church life across the Diocese of Truro. This programme seeks to develop a version of Resource Church that learns and borrows from current practice in other dioceses but is tailored to fit the Cornish context. The initial implementation of the model will be in Falmouth.

The Strategic Programme Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the Transforming Mission programme from initial set up through to successful delivery. This role requires an individual with exceptional project management skills including the ability to successfully manage stakeholders; implement change and balance multiple projects simultaneously.

The scope of the role incorporates both the strategic leadership of the Transforming Mission programme –  first in Falmouth, and then in other parts of Cornwall;  and the project management of key programme elements including the establishment of the Student Hub (café) and redevelopment of the Resource Church.

Discipleship Co-ordinator

Salary: £26,800 – £32,000 depending on experience

Hours: 35 hours per week (5 days a week)

Location: Office base is Threemilestone, Truro

The Diocese of Truro is committed to ‘Discovering God’s Kingdom, growing the church’. A core element in this is promoting discipleship through the “Way of Life” pattern for Christian living.

We are looking to appoint a Discipleship Co-ordinator to play a key role in the promotion and development of discipleship. This role requires someone with a strong base of theological knowledge, excellent communication skills and a passion for discipleship. It is an exciting opportunity to foster spiritual development with people and churches across Cornwall. Walking with those on their ‘journeys’.

The Discipleship Co-ordinator – Way of Life role has three purposes:

  • Leading a re-vision of Way of Life to consolidate “discipleship” as a core intention for our diocesan life.
  • To frame discipleship through Way of Life within the emerging strategy for the Diocese.
  • Supporting work around the four journeys, particularly the annual themes, to promote engagement with Way of Life at individual, parish and diocesan level.

Cornish Celtic Way Facilitator

Salary: £16,569 (£6,628 pro rata)

Hours: 14 hours per week

The Cornish Celtic Way is a new pilgrimage route through Cornwall with a focus on the Celtic saints. The Diocese of Truro is investing in the development of pilgrimages in Cornwall as part of its wider commitment to mission and growth of the Church and the celebration of Cornwall’s diverse and beautiful churches.

The Cornish Celtic Way Facilitator will support the project lead and development group in all aspects of promoting and organising the Cornish Celtic Way. This role has a particular focus on research, communications, and requires someone with strong administrative skills, excellent people skills and the ability to multi-task.

The successful candidate will have experience in digital communications and project work and will be willing to travel across Cornwall as the project develops. This is a great opportunity for someone who likes working with people and has an interest in the spirituality, culture and social history of Cornwall and/or a love of the county’s varied landscapes.

Internship Places

Is God Calling You? Are you aged 18-30? Then the Diocese of Truro’s Way2 Project may be for you.

The Way 2 project aims to provide an opportunity, over two years, for young people to explore vocation to Christian Ministry or Religious Community. Interns will serve a local church and be fully supported by a dedicated team as they gain experience in authentic parish ministry.

Up to four interns share a former vicarage in the village of Stithians. It is rent free and food and utilities are provided along with a monthly personal allowance.
