Pioneer Student Minister
Salary: £25,000 plus housing allowance
Hours: 35 hours per week
Transforming Mission (TM) is a model for the renewal of Anglican Church life across the Diocese of Truro. This programme seeks to develop a version of Resource Church that learns and borrows from current practice in other dioceses but is tailored to fit the Cornish context.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a heart for student ministry, a passion for growing the church and experience in working with students and young people.
Working as part of the TM Falmouth team, the Pioneer Student Minister will lead the ministry for students for TM in Falmouth. This will include assisting and leading worship, pastoral care and chaplaincy, leading events and discipleship groups, and working with others to engage students and to help build a thriving community of student faithful as part of a wider growing church community. The Pioneer Student Minister will be part of the university chaplaincy team and will work alongside them in their ministry.
The role is based at All Saints Church Falmouth but will work across sites such as the university and particularly the new café and student hub in the town centre.
Evening and weekend work will be required.
Application is by the form provided and a covering letter of no more than 2 sides of A4. No CVs please.
We welcome applications from clergy and lay. Due to the nature of the role applicants are required to be a practicing Christian and preferably a communicant member of the Church of England. An enhanced DBS check will be required.
For an informal discussion about this role please contact Bill Stuart-White, Archdeacon of Cornwall, by email Bill.Stuart-White@truro.anglican.org or Esther Pollard of the Diocese of Truro on 01872 274351 or email email@example.com.
Closing Date: noon on 7th August 2017
Interview date: 23rd August 2017
