Over 40 dogs brought their owners along to a Thank God for my Dog service at the National Trust’s Trelissick estate near Feock in August.

Organised by Feock Church and with music provided by St Paul’s Singers from Churchwater Church, both part of the Eight Saints Cluster, all joined in a rousing rendition of All Things Bright and Beautiful before the story of creation was told.

At the end of the service each dog was invited to come to the front and receive from Revd Dom Jones and Fr Simon Bone and a biscuit or two generously donated by Chacewater Countryside Supplies.

Revd Dom said: “The congregation was made up of lots of different people from holiday makers, the local community, church members and people who were just out walking and wondered what was going on! Everyone who came said what a good time they’d had.”
