“All of us will be feeling some degree of uncertainty and possibly anxiety. Whatever our views and however we voted in the referendum we are clearly now in uncharted waters.

“Here in Cornwall we need now, more than ever, to ensure we proclaim the gospel message of Christ’s love for all people and that we work and call for a period of reflection on all sides.

“Our priority is to listen to people and strive to enable our communities to flourish. We must never forget those who are marginalised and, living as we do on the edge, we can and should empathise with all those who are feeling on the edge now.

“Prayers for peace and for wisdom and please pray for all who have the responsibility of shaping our future as a nation.”
